AboutSince little I knew that I’m living in a country that is alike to a flower bouquet on the map. That blooming country was Romania. I grew up writing numbers in notebooks, a strange hobby of mine, drawing cartoon characters and dreaming to see one day Paris. I’ve started to paint at age of 13, on my father’s easel, trying to reproduce van Gogh’s famous deep colors. I drew palm trees and bows with my mother’s pencils from her’s fashion sketches. For 4 years I’ve attended painting and drama courses and I had 20 local exhibitions. In 2003 I saw Paris and I defined myself as symbolist. I lived for 2 years in France and during my stay I had my last 2 exhibitions there. Complementary with painting, I’ve started in 2007 to experiment piano by myself. I’m the holder of a bachelor of science degree in Business Information Technology in Romania (2008), and a bachelor of arts degree in Digital Communication in France (2007). My alternative to painting is graphic design and photography, and I’m actually performing small projects in freelance. My design skills developed once with my studies in France. Thus, I have designed several print communication materials for Ministry of Labour (France) during 2007-2009. In 2009 I choose to change the blooming country for a leaving in adventure and to focus more on my carrier in Information Technology. Currently I’m working as Lotus Domino Certified System Administrator and Quality Analyst for IBM in Czech Republic. I’m proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, HTML, PHP, MySQL, Lotus Notes and Domino. I have bites of knowledge in C++, Java and Unix. Eight years ago I’ve started to use my first photo camera. I used it to immortalize landscapes, but two years ago my focus changed to the most wonderful human need : the food. I’ve started to take food photography, mostly to remember my small precious food creations. Sooner that I would ever imagined, this become more than a caprice and I’ve woke up studying the light and the textures of the food. For me, photography become a way to express my dreams, my imaginary stories, to create a world, to forget about constraints, to be a better person. I’ve studied photography with professional Peruvian photographer Carlos Lopez, in Czech Republic and currently working part-time on freelance photography, graphic design projects or on my food blog – What Liberty Ate. In autumn 2011, I’ve launched a free on-line magazine – What Liberty Ate Magazine – which aims to speak about and promote the food photography and lifestyle design around the world. About me in a few words : classic, perfectionist, off the cuff intellectual, controlling risk, self-critical and obsessively exceptive.
