Poems of Places

Savannah, USA, January 2017.

This photograph explores the visual poems of places to which I got connected through my travels. Inspired by the whimsical beauty of Savannah, I captured the sunshine of the city with camellias, a quintessential Southern garden plant. Looking through a romantic lens, I saught to recreate the visual delight of the vibrant blossoms and capture them in a visual poem. Camellias are considered symbols of luck for the Chinese New Year.
